Chỉ quan niệm phong kiến cho rằng người phụ nữ khi đã đi lấy chồng thì phải theo chồng, lấy chồng làm chỗ dựa và phục tùng chồng. Thường dùng để nói về bổn phận người vợ theo tư tưởng cũ, với sắc thái mô tả hoặc phê phán.

Refers to the old feudal belief that once a woman marries, she must follow and obey her husband. It is used to describe, and often criticize, the traditional expectation that a wife's life should depend on her husband.
